Derrynaflan Chalice
The chalice, along with a silver paten, a paten stand, a strainer and a bronze basin were donated to the Irish State and are now in display in the National Museum of Ireland.

On Sunday 17th February 1980, Michael Webb from Clonmel accompanied by his son Michael Jnr., was indulging his hobby of exploring with his metal detector. They traveled to Derryflan, the old monastic site situated in a bog near Littleton, Co. Tipperary and began their usual ritual of searching.

The Supreme Court ruled that the 9th century chalice and other other artefacts, found in a bog in Tipperary in 1980, belong to the people of Ireland.
