Syrian citizens hand archeological Treasure to the Authorities

Damascus, (SANA)-
Three Syrian citizens form the Syrian southern city of Swedia have handed a valuable archeological treasure to the official authorities that dates back to historical periods of Swedia civilization before Christianity, Syrian daily al-Thawra said Sunday.
The archeological
treasure is consisted of several statues, altars and pieces of the temples' requirements during the Greek and Nabatiyah era in addition to two important basaltic statues.
It is believed that these two basaltic statues represent the two al-nabatyan Gods 'Zou al-Sharat ' and Ba'al Shmen'.
"This treasure unveils significance of the cultural importance of the Syrian identity," the daily said, adding that
among the findings there is a basaltic eagle that represents the Republic emblem."
