On Feb.3d  1735 two ships  the  .. Vliegend Hert .. and the .. Anna Catharina .. lfted anchor to start their voyage to the Dutch East-Indies . The pilot made a mistake and the tide was against them . Both ran aground while a huge storm was brewing . All men drowned in sight of the city of Vlissingen ( Flushing )  . Rex Cowan  ( North Sea Archaeological   Group ) did salvage the  ..Vliegend Hert .. but because he was not quite honest with the Dutch government he did not get the expected followup with the ..Anna Catharina ..  . Here are some coins from the quite big load he got out of the murky waters of the Schelde river  .  Cornelius
